Junior Finance Analyst
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Finance Analyst to join our growing finance team. As a Junior Finance Analyst, you will assist in various financial analysis tasks, contributing to informed decision-making across the organization. You’ll be involved in everything from data gathering and reporting to forecasting and budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather financial data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Ensure reports are accurate and delivered on time.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process by compiling data, developing models, and analyzing variances.
- Variance Analysis: Investigate and explain budget and forecast variances, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Financial Modeling: Assist in the development and maintenance of financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve existing financial processes and systems, contributing to increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management, providing data-driven insights to support business decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and accounting standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the finance team and other departments to gather information and support cross-functional projects.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with financial modeling.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Basic understanding of financial statements and accounting principles.
- Experience with financial software (e.g., ERP systems) is a plus.
